Valentine envelopes are a great, easy, and super cheap alternative to Valentine boxes or mail boxes.  I had my mid-elementary students make them each year, and it was always a successful project.  It was always so fun to see how creative the students were, and how they would each decorate them to make them their own.  The envelopes are definitely large enough to hold a class worth of normal sized school Valentine’s.  They are a little bit hard to travel with when they’re full, so if you’re going to have your kids make these, make sure they have a grocery bag or something similar to set the entire thing into so it’s easier for them to carry it home. 

 One thing I love about these envelopes is that you can create them at your own pace.  If you’re in a hurry and have to finish them in one sitting, it’s easily doable.  If you’d rather fold it one day and decorate it another, do it.  Create at your own pace.
